10-Year-Old Crafts Handmade Jewelry to Fund Her Scuba Diving Dream
A 10-year-old girl from Sochi is crafting handmade jewelry to fund her dream of scuba diving. Alina, a fourth-grade student, has turned her hobby into a small business to save up for expensive diving gear. Her determination has already caught the attention of buyers across Russia.
Alina first tried scuba diving in September and instantly fell in love with the sport. The training and equipment, however, cost 80,000 rubles—a significant amount for a young student. To raise the money, she began making and selling jewelry under the brand Handmade by Tasia.
The young entrepreneur’s efforts are paying off as demand for her jewelry continues to rise. With each piece sold, Alina moves a step nearer to affording the equipment she needs. Her story shows how passion and creativity can turn a dream into reality.
