10-year-old girl critically injured after crossing against red light in Berlin

A 10-year-old girl was seriously injured in a traffic accident in Berlin’s Wilhelmstadt district on November 15, 2025. The incident happened at around 4:30 p.m. on Pichelsdorfer Straße, near the junction with Heerstraße, when she was struck by a car while crossing against a red pedestrian signal.

The child ran into the path of a vehicle driven by a 60-year-old man, who was travelling with his 66-year-old wife. Emergency services rushed the girl to hospital with a head injury and abrasions, where she was admitted for inpatient treatment.

The girl remains in hospital following the accident. Police continue to examine the events leading up to the collision, though no further details have been released at this stage. The road has since reopened, and bus services have returned to normal operation.
