102-Year-Old WWII Hero Honored on His Birthday by Grateful Volunteers

A Great Patriotic War veteran celebrated his 102nd birthday with a special visit from volunteers. Grigory Alexeyevich Grebenyuk received gifts and warm wishes on November 26. Grigory Alexeyevich was conscripted into the Red Army in 1942, where he served with distinction. His bravery earned him multiple honours, including the Order of the Red Star and the Order of the Patriotic War, 1st Class. He was also awarded medals such as 'For Combat Merit', 'For the Defense of the Caucasus', and 'For the Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War'. The birthday celebration highlighted Grigory Alexeyevich’s enduring legacy as a war hero. His medals and stories continue to inspire respect for those who served. The Russian Red Cross Society’s visit ensured his contributions were remembered on this milestone occasion.
