12-Year-Old Girl and Her Boyfriend Murdered Her Entire Family in 2006

A brutal triple murder shocked the small city of Medicine Hat, Canada, in April 2006. Two members of the same family were killed by a 12-year-old girl and her 23-year-old boyfriend. The victims included the girl’s parents and her younger brother. Jasmine Richardson, aged 12, began a relationship with Jeremy Steinke, then 23, before the killings. She proposed the idea of murdering her family, and he agreed to help. On 23 April 2006, the pair carried out the attack inside the Richardson home. The case remains one of Canada’s most disturbing crimes involving a minor. Steinke remains in prison, serving a life term. Richardson completed her sentence and was released under supervision after a decade in custody.
