160 Orphaned Children Receive New Homes in Nizhny Tagil’s State-Funded Housing Project
In a significant step towards enhancing housing conditions, over 200 individuals, including 160 orphaned children, have received keys to new apartments in Nizhny Tagil. The apartments, part of two modern ten-story buildings, were constructed under a state program and funded by the Sverdlovsk Region Housing Construction Fund. These new buildings, featuring modern panel construction, offer fully equipped apartments ready for occupancy. Each one-bedroom apartment spans over 5,000 square meters in total area and comes with finished interiors, including stretch ceilings, laminate flooring, interior doors, and electric stoves. Residents also enjoy access to surrounding amenities such as children's and sports playgrounds, parking spaces, and recreational zones. The housing was provided in two phases. In the first, 95 individuals received apartments in one building. Later, 60 residents of Nizhny Tagil and five from Verkhnyaya Tura were handed keys in the second building. In total, 1,679 residents of the Urals will benefit from ready-made apartments or housing subsidies by 2025. The construction of these apartment complexes, funded with over 420 million rubles, demonstrates the region's commitment to improving living conditions. Governor Denis Pasler's increase in funding for the orphan housing program to 6 billion rubles further underscores this dedication, ensuring that 160 orphaned children and those left without parental care have a safe and comfortable place to call home.
