200 Degrees Coffee opens stylish new shop at York's designer outlet
200 Degrees Coffee has opened its second York location at the McArthurGlen Designer Outlet. The new shop sits near the southern entrance and includes a large outdoor seating area. Its arrival has created 12 new jobs, both full-time and part-time. Founded in 2012 by Tom Vincent and Rob Darby, 200 Degrees now operates 15 independent coffee shops across the UK. This latest venue marks their third partnership with McArthurGlen outlets.
The York shop features a dedicated space for home brew equipment, including a range of Sage espresso machines. Throughout the year, customers can attend hands-on demonstration sessions. Tom Vincent, the company’s managing director, has expressed enthusiasm about growing their presence in the area. Paul Tyler, Centre Manager at McArthurGlen York, welcomed the opening. He described the addition as an exciting development for shoppers and the outlet’s retail mix.
The new coffee shop joins an expanding network, with further growth planned for 2022. Its purpose-built design and outdoor seating aim to attract visitors to the outlet. The 12 new roles also provide additional employment opportunities in the region.
