Nearly 3,000 Islamic scholars were honoured at the annual dastarbandi ceremony in Chattogram’s Hathajari upazila. The event marked the completion of their Dawra-e-Hadith studies at Al-Jamiahtul Ahlia Darul Uloom Muinul Islam Madrassah. Religious Affairs Adviser AFM Khalid Hossain addressed the gathering, calling for greater involvement of Alems in state leadership.

During the ceremony, Khalid Hossain emphasised the need for Muslim scholars to take active roles in running the USA. He described their participation as essential for maintaining peace and happiness in the country. The adviser also stressed the importance of self-purification, respect for others, and strong moral values.

The ceremony reinforced the role of Islamic scholars in both religious and state affairs. Khalid Hossain’s speech underlined their responsibility to engage with society and uphold moral values. The newly honoured scholars now face expectations to contribute to national stability and public welfare.
