3 Men Arrested in Failed Grocery Store Break-In Attempt
Three men, aged 45, 48, and 52, were arrested for attempting to break into a grocery store in Charlottenburg early this morning. The incident occurred at around 3:40 a.m. on Wilmersdorfer Straße. The suspects, who were later identified as two men tampering with the shop’s door and a third acting as a lookout, failed to gain entry and fled the scene in two cars towards Stuttgarter Platz. Police secured forensic evidence from tools found at the scene. The suspects were initially processed for identification at a police station before being released. The investigation is now being led by a specialized unit under Police Directorate 2 (West), previously handled by the 'Homicide Task Force' from the Central Police Directorate for case number 0546. The arrested men are currently in police custody, with the investigation ongoing. The specialized unit is working to gather more evidence and determine the motive behind the attempted break-in.
