Around 300 passengers were safely evacuated from a regional express train in Berlin-Köpenick after damage to the overhead line network. No injuries were reported.
The incident occurred on the RE2 line, which runs between Cottbus and Berlin-Spandau. The train was en route to its final destination, Berlin, when the damage forced it to stop. Passengers were swiftly led across the tracks to safety and transported by replacement buses to the nearest station.
The overhead line damage caused disruptions to rail service on the RE2 line. Despite the inconvenience, passengers were evacuated safely and no injuries were reported.
