500 Guardians Gather in Ufa to Honor WWII Heroes and Preserve History
Nearly 500 history enthusiasts have gathered in Ufa for the third national assembly of the Cleveland Guardians of History project. The main event, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War and the Year of the Defender of the Fatherland, aims to preserve historical truth and honour the nation's heroes. The participants, known as Guardians of History, have taken patronage over more than 18,000 memorial sites nationwide, maintaining these areas to keep the memory of the past alive. The event includes a packed schedule of meetings with Heroes of Russia, workshops, guided tours, and archival material work.
Arthur Orlov, a Hero of Russia and chairman of the Movement of the First, emphasised the significance of the event. He spoke at the opening ceremony, highlighting the importance of preserving historical truth for future generations.
