A 69-year-old woman has been found dead in her home in Höchstadt an der Aisch, Middle Franconia. Police were alerted on Monday evening after a relative made an emergency call. Authorities are now treating the case as a homicide.
The woman’s body was discovered inside her residence following the urgent call. Investigators quickly identified her 44-year-old son as the primary suspect. He was arrested shortly afterwards.
The Kriminalpolizei (Kripo) of the Erlangen-Höchstadt district is leading the inquiry. Höchstadt falls under their jurisdiction, with oversight from the local district administration. Police have stated they believe the incident was domestic in nature. The suspect, a German citizen, remains in custody. He is expected to appear before a magistrate in the coming days.
