A 71-year-old cyclist was seriously injured in a fall on Dessauer Straße in Berlin's Lankwitz district. The accident happened at around 10:30 a.m., prompting emergency services to respond. Police are now investigating the cause of the incident. The man was riding his bicycle when he fell onto the roadway. He suffered injuries to the back of his head and required immediate medical attention. Emergency responders from Police Precinct 46 arrived at the scene, which was classified as a single-vehicle accident.
The injured cyclist was taken to a hospital for inpatient treatment. Authorities have not yet determined what caused the fall. This latest incident follows at least three other serious cycling accidents in Berlin over the past year.
