83-Year-Old Woman Dies in Kopenick Accident
An 83-year-old woman lost her life in a tragic accident on Salvador-Allende-Straße in Kopenick on February 20, 2025. The incident occurred around 9:25 AM, causing the road to be closed for investigation until approximately 1:40 PM.
The woman was struck by a car while suddenly entering the roadway. She suffered severe injuries to her head, pelvis, and upper body. Emergency services rushed her to a hospital where she underwent emergency surgery. Despite medical efforts, she succumbed to her injuries. The driver involved, a 42-year-old, was traveling from Muggelheim towards Bellevuestraße at the time of the accident.
The investigation is being led by a specialized traffic offenses unit of Police Directorate 3 (East). Salvador-Allende-Straße was closed for the accident investigation from approximately 9:35 AM to approximately 1:40 PM.
