84-Year-Old Driver's Mistake Causes Grunewald Collision
An 84-year-old driver accidentally caused a collision in Grunewald yesterday, injuring two people and damaging property. The driver, who was turning his vehicle, mistakenly hit the gas instead of the brake.
The accident resulted in an elderly woman and man being injured. Both suffered head and hand injuries, with the woman also appearing visibly shaken. Emergency services swiftly arrived and transported them to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The collision also caused significant property damage. Two parked cars and the facade of a store were damaged. The driver has since agreed to have his driver's license temporarily revoked while investigations continue.
The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of vehicle safety and the responsibility of drivers, especially the elderly, to ensure their vehicles are well-maintained and that they are physically capable of operating them safely.
