85 new police officers sworn in during Komi’s Constitution Day ceremony
On Constitution Day, 85 young police officers took their oath in Syktyvkar. The ceremony marked their formal entry into Komi's law enforcement ranks. Family, friends, and senior officials gathered to witness the event.
The recruits recited the oath of allegiance to Russia and its people. They pledged courage, honesty, and vigilance in combating crime. Their commitment was met with applause from the audience.
Major General Andrei Sitskiy, Komi's Interior Minister, addressed the new officers. He congratulated them on their career choice and expressed pride in their decision. His remarks set a tone of encouragement for the recruits.
Lieutenant Colonel (ret.) Aleksandr Yeremin, deputy chair of the Komi branch of the All-Russian Veterans' Association of Internal Affairs, also spoke. He urged the young officers to uphold their duties with distinction. The veterans' presence added weight to the occasion.
The officers will now serve across various units. Assignments include traffic police, community policing, criminal investigation, and migration services. Others will join the Forensic Science Center, the guard company, or patrol divisions.
Regional law enforcement leaders and veterans attended the ceremony. The new officers' families and friends were also present, offering support as they began their careers.
The oath-taking ceremony formalised the recruits' entry into Komi's police force. They will now take up roles in different divisions across the region. Their training and dedication will shape their service in the years ahead.
