A6 motorway to close overnight for urgent maintenance near Crailsheim

A section of the A6 motorway will shut overnight for maintenance. The closure affects the stretch between Crailsheim and Kirchberg junctions in the direction of Heilbronn. Drivers are being warned to plan alternative routes in advance.

The full closure begins at 8:00 PM on Tuesday and lasts until around 5:00 AM the following morning. No vehicles will be allowed to enter the A6 toward Heilbronn at either the Crailsheim or Kirchberg junctions during this time.

Traffic will be redirected at the Crailsheim exit. Drivers must follow diversion routes U40 and U42, which lead to the next available entry point at Ilshofen/Wolpertshausen. Local motorists are advised to avoid the affected area entirely where possible.

The overnight shutdown will disrupt travel for those heading toward Heilbronn. Authorities have set up clear detours, but delays are still expected. Drivers should check traffic updates before setting out.
