A8 near Pforzheim closed - Accident causes long traffic jam - A8 motorway crash near Pforzheim leaves two injured and €40,000 in damages
A serious traffic collision on the A8 motorway near Pforzheim-North has caused significant damage and disruption. The incident, involving three vehicles, was caused by a 31-year-old driver who lost control of his car on a wet road while attempting to overtake.
The collision left all three vehicles undriveable and they had to be towed away. The estimated property damage amounts to around €40,000. Unfortunately, two people sustained minor injuries and were taken to hospital for treatment.
The incident led to the full closure of the A8 towards Karlsruhe for accident investigation. This closure resulted in tailbacks stretching up to six kilometers, causing significant delays for motorists.
The identity of the 31-year-old driver involved in the collision has not been disclosed. The motorway has since reopened, but drivers are advised to expect ongoing delays and to check traffic updates before setting off.
