AAP unveils 14 candidates for 2026 Assam Assembly elections

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has released its first list of candidates for the 2026 Assam Legislative Assembly election. Fourteen names have been announced, covering constituencies across the state. The party is preparing for a competitive race in the upcoming polls.

Among the candidates, Pulin Gogoi will contest from Dergaon. Tapan Gogoi has been named for the Sibsagar seat. The list also includes Ranjeet Boro, who will stand in Naduar.

Achyut Das is set to run in Naoboicha, while Tikendra Thapa will represent the party in Ronganadi. Jarbom Kutum has been selected for Gohpur, and Ashis Hazarika will campaign in Khumtai. Zahidu Islam Khan will appear on the ballot for Chenga. Anurupa Dekaraja completes the list as the candidate for Central Guwahati.

The AAP's announcement marks the start of its election campaign in Assam. These 14 candidates will now focus on their respective constituencies ahead of the 2026 vote. The party aims to expand its presence in the state's political landscape.
