Abwaab acquires Apex Education to streamline university admissions support

A new powerhouse in edtech emerges as Abwaab joins forces with Apex Education. Students now gain end-to-end support, from test prep to Ivy League applications.

Abwaab acquires Apex Education to streamline university admissions support

Founded in 2019 by Leila Hassan, Hussein Elkheshen and Mohamed Ebied, Apex Education provides personalised admissions guidance, helping students gain admission to top-tier universities, including Harvard, Oxford, Cambridge, Stanford, and Columbia.

Abwaab, meanwhile, Abwaab was founded in 2019 by Hamdi Tabbaa, and operates in Jordan, Egypt, and Pakistan. The acquisition strengthens Abwaab's end-to-end student journey from tutoring to global admissions.

Following the acquisition, Leila Hassan will continue to lead Apex Education's admissions services within Abwaab.

"At Apex, we always believed that with the right guidance, every student can achieve more," Hassan said. "Joining Abwaab allows us to scale our impact, reach more students, and build the infrastructure needed to support them, without sacrificing quality or personalisation."

Going forward, Abwaab plans to integrate Apex's admissions expertise with its recently launched tutoring and test preparation offerings for international curricula, creating a unified platform that combines academic support, test prep, and expert global admissions guidance.
