Acast names Nina Wüst DACH Country Manager to fuel podcast growth

Acast has promoted Nina Wüst to Country Manager for the DACH region as part of its long-term growth strategy. The Stockholm-based podcast company, listed on Nasdaq Stockholm, continues to expand its global operations with a focus on strengthening its market presence.

Maik Lenze has now stepped into Wüst’s former role as Director of Sales for the region, taking over in January 2026.

Acast has seen rapid expansion in Germany since 2019, with its local team more than tripling in size. The company currently hosts over 140,000 podcasts, works with around 3,300 advertisers, and reaches roughly one billion listeners each quarter.

In December 2021, Acast acquired Wake Word Studios to boost its creative capabilities. This move aligned with its broader omnichannel strategy, aimed at solidifying its position in the podcast market.

CEO Greg Glenday highlighted the importance of Wüst’s appointment, calling it a key step in driving the company’s growth in Germany. Under her leadership, Acast plans to maintain its upward trajectory well into 2026.

Lenze, now leading sales in the DACH region, brings experience to the role as the company pushes forward with its strategic investments. The leadership changes come as Acast reinforces its commitment to long-term expansion and innovation.

With Wüst at the helm in the DACH region and Lenze overseeing sales, Acast is positioning itself for continued growth. The company’s focus remains on strategic investments, creative development, and strengthening its global footprint in the podcast industry.
