Action Hosts Exclusive Virtual Judicial Candidate Forum in Pennsylvania
Action, a prominent civic organisation, hosted an exclusive virtual Supreme Court Candidate Forum for Pennsylvania members on October 15, 2025. The event focused on critical statewide judicial races appearing on the 2025 ballot, drawing nearly 100 attendees. Republican candidates Maria Battista (Superior Court) and Matt Wolford (Commonwealth Court) participated, while Democratic candidates did not respond to the invitation.
The forum, organised by Action Delegate Valerie Spelman and moderated by Action Senior Vice President Andy Mangione, featured a Q&A session. Members asked candidates about their views on constitutional interpretation, judicial activism, and ideological influence on the bench. Both Battista and Wolford emphasised the importance of giving judicial and district attorney races the same voter attention as higher-profile contests. Members found the event 'excellent' and 'informative', appreciating the direct access to candidates and the policy-focused dialogue.
Action's Supreme Court Candidate Forum provided Pennsylvania members with a unique opportunity to engage with candidates and learn about their views. As the 2025 election season progresses, Action will continue to connect members with candidates and drive civic engagement across the country.
