Activist Preisler at March Against Antisemitism - Activist Karoline Preisler leads march against antisemitism and for Israeli hostages’ return
A small but determined group of around 60 people took part in the 'Women’s March' against antisemitism, Islamism, and political extremism. Among them was activist Karoline Preisler, who has repeatedly spoken out for Israeli hostages held in Gaza since October 2023. Her efforts have drawn both support and hostility at pro-Palestinian rallies.
Preisler has become a prominent voice calling for the return of all hostages’ bodies still held by Hamas. Since 7 October 2023, she has campaigned tirelessly for their release, even facing antisemitic abuse at demonstrations. Her persistence earned her recognition in September, when the Central Council of Jews in Germany awarded her the Paul Spiegel Prize.
The demonstration marked another step in Preisler’s campaign for justice and accountability. Her work has kept the issue of Israeli hostages in the spotlight, even amid opposition. The Paul Spiegel Prize further acknowledges her role in confronting antisemitism and extremism in Germany.
