Administrative Break: City Administration Regulates Availability Between the Years
Wiesbaden’s municipal offices will close for regular operations between Christmas and New Year’s. However, several key services will remain available for emergencies during the holiday period.
The Sozialleistungs- und Jobcenter in Wiesbaden will offer emergency support on Monday, December 29, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. At Konradinerallee 11, residents can access SGB II livelihood assistance and social aid by calling 316228, 316229, 314029, 314070, or 314089. Meanwhile, at Homburger Straße 29, emergency services will cover asylum seeker benefits (phone: 316388) and housing emergency aid (phone: 315877, 312882).
The Amt für Soziale Arbeit will provide child protection emergency services on December 29 and 30 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Konradinerallee 11 (phone: 313452). The Registry Office will also handle urgent matters on December 29 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
For death registrations, the Public Order Office will operate an emergency service on December 30 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. National emergency numbers—110 for police and 112 for fire or medical emergencies—will remain active throughout the holidays. Wiesbaden’s Municipal Police, including the Emergency Response and Traffic Division, will stay fully operational.
Public facilities will see adjusted schedules. Aukammtal Thermal Baths and Kaiser-Friedrich-Therme will close on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Eve but will reopen with extended hours on December 26 and New Year’s Day. Kleinfeldchen Indoor Pool, Mainzer Straße Leisure Pool, and the Henkell Ice Rink will remain closed, though the ice rink will reopen on December 26.
Residents needing urgent assistance can still access essential services during the holiday closure. Emergency lines and select offices will ensure support remains available despite the reduced operating hours.
