ADN Distribution partners with NetBird to boost Zero Trust security in Europe
ADN Distribution has expanded its security offerings by partnering with NetBird, an open-source Zero Trust Networking platform. The move aims to strengthen ADN's position in the German-speaking market, where demand for secure, identity-based networking is growing. Over 150 companies across Germany and Europe already use NetBird's solutions, particularly in manufacturing, finance, and healthcare. NetBird's platform replaces traditional VPN and MPLS architectures with a fully encrypted, peer-to-peer system. It relies on the WireGuard protocol, allowing quick deployment without complex firewall or VPN setups. The solution also cuts down on the manual effort needed to secure distributed networks.
Access is controlled through policies, identity management, and granular permissions. Instead of relying on IP address ranges, the system grants network access based on user, group, or device identities. Hermann Ramacher, ADN's Managing Director, links this shift to the broader industry move towards Zero Trust security models.
Nima Sadeghifard, NetBird's Chief of Staff, highlights the partnership's role in bringing modern networking to more businesses. ADN has already supplied NetBird's solutions to over 150 customers, with the highest adoption in Bavaria, North Rhine-Westphalia, and the Benelux region. The collaboration will help ADN solidify its role as a leading provider of Zero Trust and secure site networking in Europe. NetBird's platform offers a scalable, flexible alternative to older VPN and MPLS systems. Businesses in key sectors now have access to a streamlined, identity-focused approach to network security.
