German Police Conduct Multi-Day Helicopter Exercise

The Federal Police from Sankt Augustin near Bonn have announced a multi-day helicopter exercise that will take place next week, starting on September 22 and ending on September 26. This exercise, which involves 13 helicopters, will see professional helicopter pilots from the Federal Police and state police forces being trained.

The starting point of the exercise and the training sessions is Sankt Augustin. The route of the exercise includes Gifhorn, Hamburg, Fuhlendorf, Barth, Neubrandenburg, Blumberg, Bautzen, and Kassel-Calden. During the exercise, the helicopters will be visible in the sky, flying over various federal states in Germany.

The training course for the pilots focuses on "aviation tactical content". The pilots will be trained during the exercise, in addition to flying in formation and over major cities. At some point during the exercise, the helicopters will fly in formation over major cities.

The participants of this training course for professional helicopter pilots are referred to as such, with no specific unique title beyond this designation. The police are conducting this exercise to ensure the readiness and efficiency of their helicopter units.

The training sessions will be held over various federal states in Germany, as part of the multi-day exercise announced by the Federal Police from Sankt Augustin. The public is advised to keep a safe distance from the helicopters during the exercise and the training sessions, for safety reasons.

The exercise and the training sessions will end on September 26, marking the conclusion of this significant event in the German police's training calendar.
