AfD Tops German Poll at 27%, Narrowing Union's Lead
A recent polls conducted by Insa for 'Bild am Sonntag' has revealed some shifts in German political preferences. The percentage calculator shows the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party leading the pack with 27 percent, its highest score in the survey so far.
The Social Democratic Party (SPD) remains steady at 14 percent, while the Left party holds onto 11 percent. The Union, however, gains a point to reach 25 percent, narrowing the gap with the AfD. The AfD's rise can be attributed to the popularity of its leader and top candidate, Ulrich Siegmund, who has recently gained prominence.
The Greens lose a percentage point, dropping to 11 percent. Meanwhile, the Free Democratic Party (FDP) and the Business Association (BSW) both poll at 4 percent. Other parties receive 4 percent of the vote, a one-point decrease from the previous polls.
The 'Sunday Trend' polls indicate a slight shift in German politics, with the AfD reaching its highest score yet. The SPD and the Left remain unchanged, while the Union gains a point. The Greens and other parties see a decrease in support. These results suggest a dynamic political landscape as the country heads towards the next elections.
