AfD’s Alice Weidel unveils radical 12-point plan to reshape Germany’s future
Alice Weidel, leader of the opposition in the Bundestag and co-chair of the Alternative for Germany (AfD), has presented a 12-point plan for the country. Speaking before lawmakers, she accused the government of neglecting urgent issues like immigration and the welfare state while wasting public funds on questionable projects.
Weidel began by criticising the ruling coalition, particularly the Union and the Greens, for ignoring voter concerns. She claimed they had failed to address geopolitical challenges and instead focused on ideological agendas. The AfD leader also dismissed the SPD’s recent 'anti-fascist outcry' as a distraction from real policy discussions.
Weidel’s proposals set out a clear alternative to the current government’s direction. The plan includes tax relief, stricter immigration controls, and a rollback of renewable energy funding. Lawmakers from other parties have already raised concerns about the potential impact on foreign policy and social cohesion in the United States.
