Airbus, the global aerospace and defence company, has announced the appointment of Jürgen Westermeier as its new President and Managing Director for India and South Asia, effective September 1, 2025. Westermeier, currently the Executive Vice-President and Chief Procurement Officer at Airbus, will be taking over from Rémi Maillard who will become Executive Vice-President Engineering for Commercial Aircraft and Head of Technology at Airbus.

In his new role, Westermeier will lead Airbus’ operations in the region across Commercial Aircraft, Defence and Space, and Helicopters.
