Lars Wagner, currently the CEO of MTU Aero Engines AG, is set to take over as the CEO of Airbus' Commercial Aircraft business from Christian Scherer, effective from 1 January 2026. Wagner's journey with Airbus began in 2003, where he held various management positions in Bremen, Hamburg, and Toulouse, three major Airbus locations known for their manufacturing and operations.
