Airline companies Airtelis, Heliswiss Iberica, and Air Zermatt broaden their maintenance and support contracts under the title HCare

Airbus Helicopters recently strengthened its commitment to three European customers at the European Rotors trade fair in Cologne, Germany. The customers, Air Zermatt, Airtelis/RTE, and Heliswiss Iberica SA, each signed agreements that will enhance their operations and safety.

Air Zermatt's Retrofit and Upgrade

Swiss operator Air Zermatt has retrofitted four of its H125 helicopters with the new H125 power upgrade. This upgrade provides extra payload and increased safety, allowing for more possibilities, especially at higher altitudes. According to pilot and CEO Gerold Biner, the power upgrade offers new possibilities for the company's operations.

The retrofit process did not cause any down days for Air Zermatt, and the helicopters were operational the very next day. In addition to the power upgrade, Air Zermatt is planning to retrofit its H125 helicopters with the Crash Resistant Fuel System, further enhancing safety for its fleet.

Airtelis/RTE's Maintenance and Support Contract

Airtelis/RTE, a company primarily engaged in power line construction and maintenance, has renewed its HCare Smart Parts by the Hour (PBH) contract for an additional five years. This contract, first signed in 2011, covers its fleet of eight helicopters.

The HCare PBH contract is designed to optimize the maintenance and operational availability of helicopters by offering a pay-per-use model. This model covers helicopter parts and components based on actual flight hours, helping Airtelis/RTE control maintenance costs, improve parts availability, reduce downtime, and enhance operational efficiency.

The key benefits of the HCare PBH contract include cost predictability and control, improved parts availability, reduced downtime, and enhanced operational efficiency. By offloading parts management and leveraging Airbus’ expertise, Airtelis/RTE can focus on mission-critical operations.

Heliswiss Iberica SA's Certification and Expansion

Heliswiss Iberica SA has signed an agreement to become a certified Airbus Helicopters service centre. This move expands Airbus Helicopters' global network of approximately 90 service centres. Heliswiss will perform maintenance for a large range of aircraft, including depot-level maintenance on Ecureuil family helicopters, and has even purchased one additional H125.

In conclusion, Airbus Helicopters continues to support its European customers with comprehensive service packages and innovative solutions. The HCare program, which covers five domains, including Material Management, Helicopter Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) and upgrades, Technical Support, Training & Flight Operations, and Connected Services, is a testament to Airbus Helicopters' commitment to providing solutions that respond to operator requirements.

Airbus Helicopters' Financial Support

Airbus Helicopters has provided financial support to Heliswiss Iberica SA for its expansion, which includes the purchase of an additional H125 and its certification to become a service centre for the company.

Airtelis/RTE's Partnership in the Aerospace Industry

The renewal of Airtelis/RTE's HCare Smart Parts by the Hour (PBH) contract with Airbus Helicopters underscores a partnership between the two in optimizing the maintenance and operational availability of helicopters, contributing to the efficiency of the aerospace industry.
