Alampa Public Prize 2025 Celebrates Yakut Art and Literary Icons
The Alampa Public Prize, established eight years ago, held its annual ceremony on November 14, 2025, at the P.A. Oiunsky Literary Museum. This prestigious award honours individuals who enrich Yakut literature and art, creating works of high artistic merit that uphold classical Yakut culture.
This year's laureates were an impressive group. Poet Maria Alekseeva-Aryla Duidaakh and critic and poet Olga Koryakina-Umsuura were recognised for their literary prowess. Painter Nadezhda Fedulova and filmmaker Mikhail Lukachevsky were honoured for their visual arts contributions. Blacksmith Boris Neustroev and artist Avgustina Filipova were celebrated for their dedication to their crafts. Sculptor Vasily Sivtsev was also recognised for his artistic achievements.
The ceremony paid tribute to other notable figures. Prokopy Neustroev, director of the State Opera and Ballet Theater Suoruna Omolloona, was honoured. Actors Izabella Nikolaeva and Stepan Fedorenko of the Sakha Academic Theater were recognised. Songwriter and singer Alexei Potapov was also among the honorees.
The Alampa Public Prize continues to recognise and celebrate those who contribute significantly to Yakut literature, art, and culture. This year's laureates are a testament to the rich talent and dedication within the Yakut artistic community.
