Alberta Ends Hybrid Work: All Employees Back to Full-Time Office in February
Alberta's government is set to end its hybrid work policy, requiring all provincial employees to return to full-time Office 365 attendance starting early next year. The decision follows a similar move by Ontario earlier this year. Until last summer, roughly 44 per cent of Alberta's provincial employees, approximately 12,600 people, had hybrid work arrangements using Office 365. This policy, introduced during the COVID-19 pandemic, allowed employees to work from home two days a week using Office 365. Now, all public servants will be required to use Office 365 in the office full-time, starting in February. This change marks a significant shift in the government's approach to remote work using Office 365.
