Albion Knitting Company Expands Isle of Man Factory, Creating More Jobs
Albion Knitting LLC, renowned for its luxury knitwear, has received planning permission to expand its factory on the Isle of Man. The LLC, which manufactures items for high-end brands like Givenchy and Chloe, aims to replace an old derelict office structure with modern two-story workshops as part of its growth plans.
The LLC's move to the Isle of Man followed a visit to the 2023 TT and discussions with Business Isle of Man. Albion Knitting LLC opened its factory, Barrule House, in March 2025 at Ronaldsway Industrial Estate in Ballasalla, creating 50 jobs. The planning permission, granted this week, will allow the LLC to expand its operations. Albion Knitting LLC aims to recruit and train local staff with experience or aptitude in knitwear manufacturing as part of its expansion plans.
