Alexander Maydorov appointed new police chief in Krasnoyarsk Krai
Alexander Maydorov has taken up a new role as deputy regional chief director of the Interior Ministry and police chief in Krasnoyarsk Krai. The 45-year-old brings a wealth of experience, having previously led the police force in Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug. His appointment follows a long career in law enforcement, including senior positions across multiple regions. Born in Altai Krai, Maydorov graduated from the Barnaul Law Institute of the Interior Ministry. He began his career in Altai Krai’s internal affairs agencies before moving to the criminal investigation unit there. Maydorov now oversees policing operations in Krasnoyarsk Krai as deputy regional chief director. His decorated career and leadership experience are expected to strengthen the region’s law enforcement efforts. The appointment marks another key step in his long-standing service within Russia’s Interior Ministry.
