All-Russian Municipal Award 'Service to the Nation' Opens Applications for 2026
The All-Russian Municipal Award 'Service to the Nation' has opened applications for its third edition. This prestigious honour recognises outstanding municipal workers who have made exceptional contributions to local governance and enhancing citizens' quality of life. The award ceremony is scheduled for April 2026, during the All-Russian Municipal Forum 'Hometown: The Strength of Russia'.
This year, the award's supervisory board, chaired by Sergei Kiriyenko, has approved ten categories, including new ones like 'From the Front Lines of the SMO to Municipal Service' and 'Skilled Professionals – The Future of Municipalities'. Yevgeny Grachev, deputy head of the Russian Presidential Directorate for Domestic Policy, noted the increasing recognition and participation, especially from newly incorporated regions.
Organised by the All-Russian Association for the Development of Local Self-Government (VARMSU) with the support of the Russian Presidential Administration, the award serves as a platform to showcase best practices and express national gratitude to municipal workers. Previous winners include two projects from Sverdlovsk Region: the 'Summer School of Journalism' and the 'No One But Us' project.
Applications for the All-Russian Municipal Award 'Service to the Nation' are now open. The award ceremony will take place in April 2026, celebrating the dedication and hard work of municipal employees who have made a significant impact on their communities.
