Almaty and Vitebsk regions sign landmark cooperation agreement

Akim of Almaty Region, Marat Sultangaziyev, recently welcomed Alexander Subbotin, Chairman of Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, in Astana. The meeting resulted in a significant agreement: a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between Almaty Regional Akimat and Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee.

The memorandum, aimed at boosting interregional ties, covers a wide range of areas including trade, economics, science, technology, culture, and humanitarian spheres. Its primary goals are to foster business ties, facilitate exchange of best practices, and promote joint initiatives in industry, agriculture, and social development.

During the meeting, potential investors explored various forms of collaboration, such as production localization and joint ventures. Both parties agreed to continue discussions on technology transfer, experience sharing, and industrial partnership development. Notably, the memorandum connects Almaty Region with the Belarusian city of Minsk in these cooperative efforts.

The signing of the memorandum marks a significant step in strengthening relations between Almaty Region and Vitebsk Region. Belarusian business representatives have shown interest in launching investment projects in Almaty Region, signaling a promising future for cooperation between the two regions.
