Almaty cracks down on families failing to protect children
Juvenile police in Almaty have launched a major operation to identify families where children face unsafe living conditions. The initiative, part of the broader 'District' campaign, uncovered numerous cases of neglect and inadequate care for minors across the city.
Over 600 families already registered with law enforcement were inspected during the operation. Authorities found parents failing to provide proper upbringing, education, or basic care for their children. Some situations were so severe that children had to be removed from their homes immediately.
The inspections have led to concrete measures, including fines, corrective deadlines, and child removals where necessary. Authorities will continue monitoring these families until all violations are fully addressed. The operation reflects ongoing efforts to safeguard vulnerable minors in the region.
