Almaty Mayor Investigates Land Grabbing Claims, Boosts City's Power Grid
Akim of Almaty, Darhan Satybaldy, has taken steps to address concerns raised by residents of the Koktem microdistrict. He has ordered an investigation into reports of land grabbing and initiated plans to bolster the city's energy infrastructure.
Residents' worries about land grabbing in the Koktem microdistrict have prompted Satybaldy to launch a landwatch investigation. The probe aims to verify reports of such activities and ensure the proper use of land in the area.
In a separate move, Satybaldy has directed the energy and water supply, and urban planning control departments to work on constructing an additional transformer station and reserve cable. Once completed, these will be transferred to the city's balance, strengthening Almaty's power grid. This decision comes on the heels of a meeting with residents where issues of engineering networks, landscaping, and preserving green zones were discussed.
Satybaldy's actions demonstrate a commitment to addressing residents' concerns and improving the city's infrastructure. The landwatch investigation into land grabbing allegations seeks to maintain transparency and accountability, while the new transformer station and reserve cable project aims to enhance Almaty's energy reliability.
