Almaty Mayor Vows to Crack Down on Delinquent Contractors
Almaty Mayor Darhan Satybaldy has taken a stern stance against contractors failing to meet deadlines and delivering subpar work. In late September, he criticized contractors for these issues, which have affected several beautification projects in the city.
A total of 26 out of 147 ongoing projects in Almaty have slipped behind schedule and exhibit quality problems. Akim Almaty Darhan Satybaldy has identified nine contractors systematically responsible for these delays and violations of construction norms. Despite investigations, specific details about these companies remain unclear.
To tackle this, Darhan Satybaldy has ordered weekly monitoring of all troubled projects. Moreover, he has announced that contractors who repeatedly miss deadlines and deliver poor work will no longer operate in Almaty. The possibility of revoking licenses and involving law enforcement agencies is also being explored.
Almaty Mayor Darhan Satybaldy's actions aim to ensure contractors meet deadlines and maintain quality standards. Weekly monitoring and potential license revocation serve as strong deterrents. The city expects improved performance from contractors moving forward.
