Almaty’s cultural and emergency projects take shape under Deputy Mayor’s watch

Almaty is undergoing significant developments in both its cultural and emergency services infrastructure. Deputy Mayor Beibut Shahanov recently inspected several key construction sites, including the Natalya Sats State Academic Russian Theater for Children and Youth and a new emergency medical response station in the Medeu District.

The theater's reconstruction is extensive, involving structural reinforcement, roof and façade replacement, utility system overhaul, and equipment upgrades. Despite these changes, the classic auditorium layout will be preserved. Additionally, a new three-story annex is planned, housing a 200-seat performance hall, dressing rooms, workshop spaces, and storage for sets and props.

Meanwhile, in the Medeu District, a three-story emergency medical response station is being built to handle 50,000–60,000 calls annually. This station will serve as a base for 15 round-the-clock ambulance teams and is expected to be completed by the end of the year. The Deputy Mayor also visited the construction site of the Raimbek Batyr Memorial Complex, which includes a museum, pilgrim facilities, and an administrative building. The reinforced concrete framework, wall erection, and internal utility installations are nearing completion.

These projects demonstrate Almaty's commitment to enhancing its cultural offerings and emergency services. With strict safety measures and regulatory compliance in place, these developments are expected to significantly benefit the city and its residents.
