Alpine brand appoints Philippe Krief as its new CEO

In a significant move, Alpine, the renowned French automobile brand, has appointed Philippe Krief as its CEO. The announcement was made in July 2020 in Boulogne-Billancourt, France.

Krief, a seasoned industry veteran, was previously the Vice President of Engineering and Product Performance for the Alpine brand team. However, on February 21, 2023, he was succeeded by Philippe Brunet in that role. Krief continues to focus on shaping Alpine’s future product range and brand development, with a new phase of development on the horizon.

Krief's appointment comes as Alpine prepares to enter a new phase of its development, aiming to become a brand of the future. His selection was based on his extensive industry experience, great technical knowledge, and leadership qualities.

Before joining Alpine, Krief served as Technical Director of the Alfa Romeo brand at Maserati. He also had a stint at Ferrari, where he became Director of Engineering in June 2016. Krief's career began at Michelin and the Fiat Group, and he graduated from Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Techniques Avancées.

Under the leadership of Laurent, Alpine has been positioned well to achieve its long-term goals. Laurent has set a clear and ambitious strategy for the Alpine brand, and under his two-year commitment, the brand has made significant strides. Renault Group CEO Luca de Meo thanked Laurent for his dedication and commitment to Alpine.

With Krief at the helm, Alpine is expected to launch its new vehicles starting next year. The specific details about these new vehicles have not been provided yet, but the anticipation is high. The new phase aims to propel Alpine to new heights, with Luca de Meo trusting Krief and his team to make it happen.

As Alpine embarks on this new phase, the automotive world eagerly awaits the unveiling of Krief's vision for the brand's future.
