Altai Territory Approves 2026-2028 Budget Focusing on Social Support and Economic Growth

The Altai Territory Government has approved the draft regional budget for 2026-2028, with a focus on social support and economic growth. The budget, approved on October 14, allocates a significant sum for supporting children and aims to boost the gross regional product.

The draft budget, set for consideration in the October session of the Altai Territorial Legislative Assembly, projects tax and non-tax revenues to grow by 20% compared to the initial budget for 2025. The Altai Region Legislative Assembly has granted approval for the budget law, with financial assistance earmarked for municipalities.

By the end of 2028, the gross regional product is expected to exceed 1.5 trillion rubles. The budget revenues for 2026 are projected to approach 200 billion rubles, reflecting the region's economic growth and stability.

The approved budget for the Altai Territory prioritises social support, with a substantial allocation of 47 billion rubles for supporting children. The region's economic prospects are positive, with projected increases in gross regional product and budget revenues, setting the stage for continued development.
