Amazon's New Berlin HQ Nears Completion in 'EDGE East Side' High-Rise
Amazon has started preparing its new office space in Berlin's 'EDGE East Side' high-rise. The building, set to be the city's tallest upon completion, is nearing its final stages of construction. The exterior of the 'EDGE East Side' high-rise is almost entirely clad in glass, giving it a sleek and modern appearance. Inside, interior construction is well underway, with Amazon taking over the first floors. The tech giant will occupy 28 of the 35 above-ground floors, solidifying its status as the anchor tenant. The project, expected to cost around 400 million euros, will offer over 80,000 square meters of usable area. It is scheduled for completion in the third quarter of 2023, beating Berlin's current tallest high-rise, 'The Estrel' tower in Neukölln, which is set to be completed in late 2024. Remarkably, the 'EDGE East Side' high-rise reached its full height of 140 meters in just 20 months. The 'EDGE East Side' high-rise in Berlin-Friedrichshain is nearing completion, with Amazon set to move in. The building's glass facade and impressive height will make it a prominent addition to the city's skyline. Upon completion, it will hold the title of Berlin's tallest high-rise until the 'Estrel' tower's completion in late 2024.
