AmCham Kuwait celebrates 40 years of bridging U.S.-Kuwait business ties
The American Chamber of Commerce in Kuwait (AmCham Kuwait) marked its 40th Anniversary with a gala dinner at the Four Seasons Hotel Kuwait. The event celebrated four decades of partnership between Kuwait and the United States, bringing together government officials, diplomats, business leaders, and members of the AmCham community.
Chairman Pete Swift kicked off the evening by reflecting on AmCham Kuwait's journey since 1985, expressing gratitude to members, sponsors, and staff. Executive Director Paola de la Roche welcomed guests and invited them to engage with a 40th Anniversary Commemorative Canvas and an interactive photo booth.
Dr. Arezou Harraf, in her closing remarks, highlighted the organisation's four-decade legacy built on collaboration and inclusion. She extended appreciation to all members, sponsors, and partners. The Excellence Awards recognised long-term members and strategic partners for their outstanding contributions, presented by Paola de la Roche and Dr. Arezou Harraf, Vice-Chair of AmCham Kuwait.
Business Council Partners, including British Business Forum and German Business Council Kuwait, were acknowledged for their support. Dr. Rawda Awwad, President of the American University of Kuwait (AUK), remarked on the partnership between education and business, looking ahead to the future.
The anniversary celebration also included an exciting raffle, with the grand prize being a round-trip ticket to the United States courtesy of IFA International Travel & Tourism. AmCham Kuwait looks forward to continuing its mission to foster trade and investment between Kuwait and the United States for the next four decades and beyond.
