Andrea Föniger Named SPD’s 2026 Candidate for Joint Municipal Mayor

Andrea Föniger has been chosen as the SPD’s candidate for the 2026 local elections in the Elm-Asse collective municipality. The nomination, for the role of joint municipal mayor, received strong backing from party members. Föniger currently serves as deputy joint municipal mayor and has long been involved in regional politics.

The decision took place at a general members’ meeting held in Groß Vahlberg’s village community centre. Support for Föniger came from prominent figures, including Dunja Kreiser, Jan Schröder, Dr. Thorsten Kornblum, Marcus Bosse, and Martin Albinus.
