Angela Achermann takes seat in Horw's Residents' Council for GLP
A change in Horw’s Municipal Council will take place at the start of March. Pius Barmet, a member since 2020, has asked to step down from his role. His replacement, Angela Achermann, will join the Green Liberal Party (GLP) faction on March 1, 2023.
Pius Barmet has served in Horw’s Municipal Parliament since 2020. During his time, he contributed to the Audit Committee. His resignation will officially take effect at the end of February.
Angela Achermann will fill the vacant seat from March 1, 2023. The Municipal Council will formally elect her on the same day. She will remain in the position until the end of the current term in 2028.
The transition marks a shift in the council’s composition. Barmet’s departure leaves a vacancy that Achermann will occupy for the next five years. The GLP faction will maintain its representation in Horw’s local government.
