Anglican Commission Meets Pope Leo XIV in Historic Rome Zoom Gathering

The Inter Anglican Standing Commission on Unity, Faith and Order (IASCUFO) gathered in Rome from December 7 to 11, 2025. During the five-day zoom meeting, members reviewed key documents, attended religious services, and met with Pope Leo XIV in a formal audience.

The Commission was hosted at the Istituto Maria Santissima Bambina, where daily worship services took place. Members also attended services at All Saints’ (Church of England), St Paul’s within the Walls (The Episcopal Church), and St Peter’s Basilica.

The Rome zoom meeting concluded with progress on ecumenical relations and preparations for ACC-19. IASCUFO’s work continues to focus on dialogue, unity, and engagement across Christian traditions. The Commission’s findings and resources will be presented at the upcoming Anglican Consultative Council gathering.
