Armavir to Implement Tourist Tax in 2026 for Infrastructure Upgrades
Armavir will introduce a tourist tax from 2026 to support its growing visitor numbers. The decision follows approval by the city’s Duma and aims to boost local infrastructure. Funds raised will go directly into improving tourism facilities across the area.
The local municipal government has officially passed a statute requiring accommodation providers to collect the new levy. This includes hotels, apartments, and hostels within Armavir’s city limits. Officials estimate the tax will bring in over 6.5 million rubles each year.
The tourist tax will take effect in two years, with all proceeds earmarked for city improvements. Accommodation businesses must now prepare to implement the charge. The measure reflects Armavir’s push to balance growth with sustainable development.
