Armed Police Begin Crucial Election Training in Khulna
A significant training programme for armed police has commenced in Khulna. Lieutenant Colonel MM Salahuddin, as chief guest, inaugurated the fourth phase of the initiative at the 3rd Armed Police Battalion headquarters on Saturday.
The three-day training, part of a nationwide effort to prepare 1.5 lakh police members across 130 venues for the upcoming national elections, focuses on election management, proper weapon handling, and the use of body-worn cameras during polling duties. Over 28 batches, a total of 1267 members from the 3rd APBn and RRF Khulna will receive this crucial training.
In this phase, fifty police members are participating, with 30 from the 3rd APBn and 20 from the RRF Khulna. Lieutenant Colonel Abdullah Al Mahmud, commander of the 3rd Armed Police Battalion, inaugurated the programme. Salahuddin, the chief guest, stressed the importance of professionalism, discipline, and neutrality in carrying out election duties.
The ongoing training programme in Khulna is a vital step towards ensuring a smooth and secure election process. With a focus on election management and proper policing techniques, it aims to equip police members with the necessary skills to maintain order and neutrality during the upcoming national elections.
