Aschaffenburg's 'Recharge - Show Attitude' Conference Unites for Democracy
Aschaffenburg's Stadthalle hosts the 'Recharge - Show Attitude' democracy conference on October 18. The event, free to attend, aims to foster societal cohesion and tackle current migration challenges. It features workshops, lectures, and a keynote by the Volksverpetzer.
The conference, open to all, encourages attendees to engage, listen, and find encouragement. It kicks off with a welcome coffee and Mayor Jürgen Herzing's greeting, followed by a keynote 'Stronger than Hate' by the Volksverpetzer. Two rounds of parallel sessions follow, covering topics like democratic decision-making, political participation, and resilience in the face of migration.
Workshops are led by Mariam Grote, the Youth Council Aschaffenburg, the Volksverpetzer, Migrants for Migrants e.V., and 'Aschaffenburg is colorful'. Lectures are given by Dr. Donya Gilan and Volker Sebold, exploring themes such as right-wing campaigns and local democracy work in the context of migration.
The 'Recharge - Show Attitude' conference, held from 9:30 to 14:00, seeks to invigorate Aschaffenburg's society. It offers a platform for learning, engagement, and unity, reflecting the city's commitment to addressing contemporary social migration issues.
